Michael was born on December 6, 1960 in Davenport, son of Marvin and Melba (Hillyer) Miller. He was united in marriage to Stella Jasper on August 20, 1993.
Michael was a proud US Army Veteran having served in Korea. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball and golfing. He had a passion for sports, especially the Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Vikings, and the Boston Bruins. He was a great cook and was known for his ribs, beer can chicken, and chicken noodle soup. He loved being with people at any type of party or get together and could make a friendship with anyone. He didn’t mind being the center of attention. To him everyone was family. Michael enjoyed spending time listening to music, dancing, card games, telling jokes, camping and playing video games with his son. His other passion was fishing and he looked forward to the yearly fishing trips to Minnesota. Above all Michael loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend and will be deeply missed.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Stella; children Mathew Miller and Shelbi Miller; siblings Kevin Miller, Debbie Jaszewski, Rick Miller, Annie Hintze and Pam Carter; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Theresa Henderson and sister-in-law Peggy Miller.
