Michael D. Lang

Michael Douglas Lang, age 58, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2023. Cremation will take place and inurnment will take place at the Rock Island National Cemetery.

Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport assisted the family with arrangements.

Mike was born on December 9, 1964, in Iowa City to Lois Miller. Mike was a veteran having served with the U.S. Navy. He worked for many years as a service tech for Diebold Nixdorf Corporation.

I would add he was very adventurous (jumped out of an airplane, bungee jumped, zip lined, para sailing, biked down a mountain in HI, snorkeled with sting rays), he loved to RV and travel. He always had a smile and his laugh was infectious. He made friends easily and always made people feel special. He teased and joked with everyone, loved to sing and dance, and was always there to lend a helping hand to any one that needed it.  He was quite generous.  He loved and had many pets that were dear to his heart. He was not afraid to learn or try new things for work, home, or cars. He had an uncanny knack for remembering numbers. He had a full life.

Survivors include his brothers, Mitchell Lang, Morgan Lang, and Shawn Lang; a special friend, Theresa Carr; and many nieces and nephews.
