Michael Arth, 58, of Bettendorf, passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 24, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with additional visitation being held from 9:00 AM Tuesday at the church until time of Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney.
Michael was born on October 11, 1966, in Belleville, Illinois, son of John “Jack” and Joyce (Falline) Arth. He was united in marriage to Lori Petersen in 1991.
Michael was very sarcastic and had a great sense of humor. He loved to talk and never met a stranger. He enjoyed being outside golfing, fishing, hunting and landscaping. He was known for his creativity in decorating for the holidays and found joy in his Fourth-of-July and Halloween gatherings. He also loved watching stock car races with his grandson, Emilio, and NASCAR. He was a member of St. John Vianney, and his religion was very important to him. He will be deeply missed.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife Lori; children Theresa Arth and Lydia Arth; grandson Emilio; father Jack; siblings JR (Jill) Arth, Robert (Terese) Arth and Stacey (Michael) Flynn; brother’s-in-law Gary Petersen and Craig Petersen; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce and father-in-law and mother-in-law Norman and Mardeen Petersen.
