Mary Conroy was born May 21, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of J. Harold Conroy and Ann (Dawson) Conroy. She grew up in Ottumwa, attended Catholic schools, and was a graduate of Walsh High School. She was united in marriage to Curtis Trilk in Ottumwa on October 27, 1964.

Mary excelled at many things and had true gifts for entertaining, homemaking, and anything related to design. In her professional years, she worked for Farberware, Weber, and Trifari Jewelry, but she most enjoyed her time working as a floral designer in Wausau, Wisconsin and as the gourmet food manager at Watermark Corners in Moline, Illinois. Mary had a servant heart and always found time to volunteer at various organizations including Junior League of the Quad Cities, St Paul the Apostle Church, Assumption High School, and Catholic Service Board where she served as president in 2001. Mary was an excellent cook, kept an impeccably clean home and beautiful gardens. She was a dedicated walker and regular at the gym for many years.

After raising their family in Davenport, Mary and Curt retired to Surprise, Arizona, and their summer lake home in Hayward, Wisconsin. Mary valued her Irish heritage and family time. She instilled the importance of faith and work ethic in her children. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren. Those left to honor her memory are her husband Curt, her children, Michael Trilk, Rockford, Illinois, Christopher (Kathleen) Trilk, Gilbert Arizona, and Jennifer (Tom) Brooke, Davenport, twelve grandchildren, Matt (Jordan) Rogalski, Natalie (JT) Vonderhaar, Nicholas Trilk, Hailey (Chris) Kinney, Abigail (Sam) Lipton, Ryan Trilk, Timothy Trilk (fiancé Kate Murphy), Kathleen Rogalski (Jeff Goetz), Elizabeth Trilk, Patrick, Jason and Adaline Brooke and one great grandchild, JJ Vonderhaar. She is also survived by sisters JoAnn Galey, San Marcos California and Teresa Rae, Albia Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, C. Joseph Conroy and her daughter-in-law Megan Berger Trilk.

Memorials can be made to Assumption High School or St Paul the Apostle Catholic School.
