Mary Ellen Ochoa was born on September 16, 1958 in Chicago, a daughter of Ramon and Jessie G. (Mendez) Ochoa.

Mary Ellen had an enormous heart which loved unconditionally.  She lived to help others, taking them in or helping to raise young children.  She never had much, but what she had she was willing to give to others or share.  She was a member of St. Anthony’s and loved to bring those she cared for to Mass and make sure they were receiving their sacraments.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Survivors include her children: David Ochoa, Juanita Ochoa, and Juan “Pops” (Josie) Ochoa, all of Davenport, grandchildren: Olivia, Analicia, Cecilia, Liliana, Sophia, David “Boo-Boo”, Angel, Lyayla, and Jon; parents: Ramon and Jessie Ochoa, Buffalo, siblings: Joseph (Jenetta) Mendez, Davenport, Ramona (Deacon Jesus) Tagle, Romeoville, Illinois, Raymond Mark Ochoa, Davenport, Antonio “Tony” Rodriquez, San Leandro, California,  Sherry Ann Rodriquez, Davenport, Domingo Ochoa, Davenport, Raymond Charles (Rebecca) Ochoa, San Antonio, Texas, and Amado Ochoa, Davenport; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
