Marvin E. Marshall Jr

Marvin “MJ” Marshall Jr, 39, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at his home. Visitation to celebrate his life will be held at 11:30-1:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. There will be no funeral services. The rite of cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to King’s Harvest Pet Rescue, Davenport.

Marvin Earl Marshall Jr was born February 18, 1985, in Davenport, IA, the son of Marvin and Sheila (Frison) Marshall. He graduated from Davenport North High School. He had worked for several companies over the years including Arconic and John Deere.

 In his early years he enjoyed reading comics, watching anime, and playing video games with his friends. 

Those left to honor his memory include his parents Marvin and Sheila Marshall Sr of Davenport; sister Armeika Marshall of Davenport; grandparents Lewis and Shirley Marshall Jr of Silvis, IL; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Rev. William Henry Frison Sr. and Helen Marie Gillespie-Frison; aunt Kimberly Ann Frison; paternal grandmother Barbara Jean Marshall.
