Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Mark L. Schiltz, 61 of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. The Mass will be livestreamed by clicking the following link: St. Anthony YouTube PageVisitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport with additional visitation at church on Saturday from 9 until 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to Assumption High School or St. Ambrose University.
Mark LeRoy Schiltz was born on March 16, 1963 in Davenport, a son of William J. and Jane E. (Dyer) Schiltz. He was a 1981 graduate of Assumption High School and 1985 graduate of St. Ambrose University. He was united in marriage to Michelle R. "Moo" Van Camp on March 23, 1991 at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Mark worked for his family’s businesses, Brown Traffic Products, Schiltz Properties and had owned and operated the Computer Center.
Mark and Moo enjoyed annual trips to Aruba for over twenty years where they made lifelong friends. Mark was happiest when surrounded by family and friends sharing a cold beverage.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Moo, Davenport; mother, Jane Schiltz, Bettendorf; siblings: Ron (Sally Ruggeberg) Schiltz, LeClaire, Dr. Myra (Mike) Daniel, Davenport, and David (Tami) Schiltz, New Mexico; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Anthony A. Van Camp II (Shelley), Davenport, Iowa, Angelita Stahler, Davenport, Teresa “Teri” (Keith) Glover, Sachse, Texas, Lisa Pinkerton, Grinnell, Iowa, and Maria Osness, of Carrollton, Texas; and many nephews and nieces and friends in Aruba.
He was preceded in death by his father, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anthony Van Camp and Alyce Van Camp Lenertz and Robert Lenertz; a brother-in-law, Greg Stahler, and a nephew, Drew Stahler. May they rest in peace.
