Marilyn Feller

Marilyn J. Feller, age 89, of Davenport, passed away on Monday, December  26, 2022 at home. Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 30, 2022 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Marilyn was born on July 28, 1933 in Davenport to Joseph and Bernadine (Schebler) Phelan.

 Marilyn was proud to be in the first graduating class from Davenport Central High School. On January 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to Melvin Feller in Davenport. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1991. In early years Marilyn worked at the Veteran’s Affairs Office in Davenport.

              Survivors include daughters, Sallie (Pat) Boland, Connie (Bernie) Ketelaar, and Susan (Jay) Feller Flores; grandchildren, Brian (Jess) Farrell, Mary (Jim) Covey, David Ketelaar, Tony Ketelaar, and Madison Flores; great grandchildren, Shalee, Cheyanne, and Reeson; sister-in-law, Carol (Jim) Phelan; and life-long friend, Maggie Boone.

               In addition to her parents and husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by a brother, Jim, niece, Tracy, sons-in-law, Bernie Ketelaar and Patrick Boland.
