Marian R. “Mimi” Tritz, 95, a resident of Davenport, died Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the home of her great-niece in Maquoketa.
A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the OLV Foundation. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marian was born May 30, 1923 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Anton and Frances (Frommelt) Tritz. Marian was a registered nurse. She taught at Mary Crest College and was the administrator at Manor Care Nursing Home in Davenport.
Marian enjoyed knitting, crosswords, and shopping. She was a fan of all sports especially the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, and the University of Indiana.
Those left to honor her memory include a niece and nephew, Sharon (Monte) Ehlers of Davenport, and Ralph Becker of Davenport; great-nieces and nephews, Brent (Mary) Leick, Dawn (Mark) Kemp, Tammy (Rick) Mortenson, Nicole Leick, Christina Ehlers, Nicole (Andy) Richardson, Cara Becker, Eric (Charity) Becker; great-great nieces and nephews, Cody (Briana) Brimeyer, Tanna (fiancé Michael) Brimeyer, Rylan Brimeyer, Amanda (Tony) Carr, and Andrew (Alyssa) Mortenson; and a brother-in-law, Alfred Becker.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.
