Margeret R. "Marge" Serrano-Gladfelter

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Margeret “Marge” Serrano – Gladfelter, 72, of Davenport, will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Tuesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, with a Rosary offered at 6:30 pm. Memorials may be made to the family.

 Mrs. Gladfelter passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.

 Margeret Rose Serrano was born August 31, 1951, in Davenport, a daughter of Julio and Lupe (Martinez) Serrano. She was united in marriage to George Gladfelter on October 27, 1984, at the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Davenport.

 Marge was primarily a homemaker but had also worked at Crescent Laundry in the 1990’s

 She enjoyed dancing, oldies music, gardening, cooking, decorating her house, and spending time with her large family.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband George; children Richard Serrano, Erica (Arthur) Abbey all of Davenport; grandchildren Elizabeth, Tykeshia, Richard Jr, Clarissa (Jose), Dammien, Shawn, Jonathan, Naomi; fourteen great grandchildren; siblings Irene (Paul) Haut, Chris (Mike) Gladfelter, Julio (Kim) Serrano, Steve Serrano, Regina St. Clair, Rachel (Rob) Conner, and Sheila (Ralph) Alatorre.

 She was preceded in death by daughter Stacy Faust, parents, brother-in-law Bob St. Clair, and nephews Shawn Serrano and Christopher Gladfelter.
