Margaret E. (Anderson) McGee

Margaret E. (Anderson) Krutsinger McGee, 87, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Genesis East. Davenport. She went home to be with her Lord, with no more pain.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 3593 Middle Road, Bettendorf.  Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemtery, Arsenal Island.  The family will greet family and friends Thursday at church from 10 until 11 a.m.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margaret Elizabeth Anderson was born on May 14, 1936 in Lucas County, Iowa, daughter of Arthur A. and Corda E. (Thrasher) Anderson.  She graduated from Chariton High School in 1954.  Margaret worked as a deputy auditor in Lucas County from 1954 until 1958.  She also worked for Younkers Department Store and Bettendorf Food Services for many years.

Margaret enjoyed her family, roller skating, traveling, especially to the Branson, Missouri area, bowling, crafts, and loved to entertain in her home.  She was happiest when giving or doing something for others.

Survivors include her children: Barbara Malmberg, Bettendorf, and Robert (Susan) Krutsinger, Coal Valley; grandchildren: Cindy (Andy) Stuart, Bettendorf, Michael (Victoria) Krutsinger, USAF, Louisiana, Nicholas (Lindsey) Malmberg, Des Moines, and Stephanie (Trent) LeBarge, Davenport; great-grandchildren: Calli Stuart, Aria and Owen Krutsinger, Zoey Malmberg, Ava Vangetson, and Brayden and Isaac LeBarge; sister, Maxine Leeps, North Carolina, sister-in-law, Carol Anderson, Pleasantville, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Robert Anderson, and brother-in-law, Jerry Leeps.
