Visitation for Louise J. Pugh, 76, a resident of Davenport, will be from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport. Due to the pandemic, masks must be worn, and social distance maintained. Per her wishes, the rite of cremation will be accorded following the visitation and there will be no other services. Memorials may be made to the Scott County Libraries. Louise passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
Louise Janet Russett was born July 5, 1944 in Ilfracombe, Devon, England, the daughter of Richard and Jeanette (Prattent) Russett. She married John A. Pugh July 16, 1983 in Davenport. They celebrated 36 years of marriage before he preceded her in death February 20, 2019.
Louise was an office manager at Payless Cashways for 28 years. During her retirement she volunteered at the Davenport Library resale shop with their Fairmont location. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in her free time. But most of all she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters.
Those left to honor Louise’s memory include her children: Tara (Randy Coons) Fleming and Leah Cafer, all of Davenport; grandchildren: Veronica (Jacob Miller) Fleming, Davenport and Makayla Fleming, Bettendorf; siblings: Delvia (Jim) Inmon, Bettendorf; Heather Coon, Davenport and Richard (Karen) Russett, II, Parkview. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, and sister, Nanette Russett.
