Louis E. Twillman

Louis E. Twillman, 85, a resident of Bettendorf, died Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Country Manor in Davenport.

Services and inurnment will be held at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family.

Louis was born September 6, 1937 in New Franklin, Missouri the son of Herbert and Margaret (Harris) Twillman. He married Gypsy Lee Elizondo, May 31, 1974. Louis served in the United States Air Force as an inventory specialist while also traveling the world playing baseball for the Air Force. He worked as a supervisor for JCPenney for 17 years, retiring in 2004. Louis was an avid golfer.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Gypsy; children, David (Sue) Elizondo of Bettendorf, Michael (Cindy) Twillman of Amarillo, Texas, Cheryl Elizondo of Bettendorf, Kimberly Dugan of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Debra Rice of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert; and sister, Dorothy.
