Lizette Miles-Owens

Private funeral services to celebrate the life of Lizette J. “Nean” Miles-Owens, 51, of Davenport, will be held at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport.  Cremation rites will take place following the visitation.  Liz died Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Campus, Davenport.  Memorials may be made to her family.

Lizette Janean “Nean” Miles was born November 25, 1968 in Muskegon, Michigan, a daughter of Saint Joseph and Mary Jane (Richmond) Miles. She united in marriage to Paul Owens, June 27, 1998.

Liz worked as an activities specialist through Manor care, Davenport. She enjoyed shopping at Cato with her mom, she also enjoyed traveling to her home state Michigan to visit her family and best friend Donette Williams, most of all she was very family oriented and enjoy cooking and spending time with her family

Survivors include her husband Paul Owens and their children; Kevin Miles, Dixon, Illinois, Keyla Miles, Davenport, and grandchild, Jamirr Miles; Cayla Owens, Silvis. Her siblings; Kirk Miles, Muskegon, MI, Saint Joseph Miles, Jr. San Antonio, Texas, Christopher Miles, Muskegon, MI, Stephen Miles and Jason Miles, Grand Rapids, MI; and Sisters Melanie Miles and Keisha Jordan both of Grand Rapids, MI. Uncles Jethro Gay and James Edward Gay; her mother and father-in-law; Rev. Donnell and Mother Bernice Owens.

As well as her First Nieces and Nephews whom she adored: Ayesha, Omar, Crystal, Joseph, Motise, Adreon, Gab, Ryan and Isaiah and a host of great nieces and Nephews

She was preceded in death by her father Saint Joseph Miles Sr., Brother Robin Miles and Grandmother Margret Williams.
