Linda Quinlan

June 12, 1971 — February 8, 2021

Private funeral services to celebrate the life of Linda M. Quinlan, 49, of Davenport, will be held at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, who is assisting her family with arrangements. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens.  Linda passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 8, 2021 at Unity Point Health Hospital in Muscatine, Iowa.

Linda M. Quinlan was born June 12, 1971 in Davenport, a daughter of Michael and Anne (Ryan) Quinlan. Being born with a physical disability created many challenges throughout her life, but with determination she was able to graduate from North High School in 1989. Soon after, she went on to live in a group home and later to a supervised apartment setting. She enjoyed watching “her” Dallas Cowboys along with wrestling on cable TV--her favorite star being John Cena.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Each morning when we wake, we know that you are gone. And no one knows the heartache as we try to carry on. Our hearts still ache with sadness and many tears still flow. What it meant to lose you no one will ever know. Our thoughts are always with you, your place no one can fill. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. There will always be a heartache and often a silent tear, but always a precious memory of the days when you were here. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain, to walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again. Our family chain is broken now, and nothing will be the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Those left to honor Linda’s memory include her mother, Anne (Ryan) Quinlan and her partner, Roland Lange, her sister, Tracy (Tom) Quinlan-Jasper and brother, Brian Quinlan, niece, Audrey Jasper and nephew, Adam Jasper, all of Davenport; her aunts and uncles: Pat Quinlan, Jim (Brenda) Quinlan and Dennis Quinlan, all of Davenport; Elaine (Ryan) Tacquard, Santa Fe, Texas, and Barb (Ryan) Sehmann, Hitchcock, Texas, Tom (Brenda) Ryan, League City, Texas; close family friend, Nicole Boege-Cope, Davenport and numerous other loving extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and an uncle.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Premier Estates in Muscatine for the care they gave Linda during her brief stay with them.
