Linda K. Purcell

Linda K. Purcell, age 72, of Bettendorf, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. A Celebration of her Life for family and friends will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the family home at 18721 Criswell Street, Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Make a Donation | Gary Sinise Foundation. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

   Linda was born on February 12, 1950, in Davenport to Frank and Lillian (Kouba) Weber. She was united in marriage to Mike Purcell on October 2, 1993, celebrating 29 years of marriage. Linda worked for 30 years with Jewel Foods retiring as deli manger in 2006.

   Linda loved baking and anything outdoors, riding her gator, mowing the yard, camping, and fishing. She also will be remembered for being a person wanting to do things for others and always having a smile on her face. She most enjoyed her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and gave the best hugs.

   She is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Wendy (Darin) Wall, Randy (Kelly) Bishop, Joel (Amy) Purcell, and Corey (Lanie) Purcell; grandchildren, Ashley, Hannah, Colin, Zoe, Sydney, Cassidy, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Bella; siblings, Sherry (Dan) Scott, and Le (Jeff) Winger.

   In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a grandson, Trey; and a sister, LaVonne.
