Linda Hansen

Linda J. Hansen, 73, of Davenport, died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at ManorCare Utica Ridge in Davenport.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday. Memorials may be made to the family or to a charity benefiting Multiple Sclerosis research.

Linda was born June 18, 1947 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Jane (Toy) Stevenson.

Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Scott (Kara Stolsig) Hansen and Brian (Denise) Hansen; stepson, Andrew White; sister, Judy (Jim) Hronek; brother, David (Jan) Stevenson; niece, Beth (Gary) Holznagel; and nephew, Bob (Kathy) Hronek.  She had many friends that she cherished and loved, including Becky Fortner, Donelda Scherich, Rick Temple, Sandy Dale, and Pam and Dirk Ousting.

Linda loved people and was a social butterfly who knew no stranger.  Some of her interests and hobbies including talking to her friends and family, being outside and going to church.  She loved watching movies and ran a movie group.  She loved not only cleaning her house, but the homes of others, too (right, Kara).  Linda was a very positive person that cared about a lot of people and would help wherever she could.  She loved to laugh and it was contagious.

Linda was called mom by many who loved her: Josh (Norma) Long, Jay Steines, Jessie and Kristy Sperry, Lea and Kevin Kaskadden, Eduardo Fierro, Darvess Hutcherson, Kathy Dale, Kevin Smith, Nick, Chad, Paul and many more. Linda had many friends who loved her and will never forget her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
