Linda K. Brammann, age 74, of Davenport, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus surrounded by her husband, her four daughters and a granddaughter. Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 26, 2024, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. The family will greet friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.
Linda was born on September 12, 1949, in Davenport to Harry and Katherine (Koehler) Hope. She was united in marriage to Bruce Brammann on August 29, 1970 in Orion, Illinois.
Linda worked at Cele Whan Academy of Beauty as a cosmetology instructor until the late seventies when she embarked on a four-decade long run as a stay-at-home daycare provider as she cared for dozens of families during that time. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and crocheting. She had the ability to fix and get things to work and was fondly called “MacGyver”.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce; daughters Krista (Joe) Zito, Lisa (Tom) Pietrzyk, Gina (Tim) Hanson and Sara (Darryl) Tucker. Also surviving are eight grandchildren ranging in age from 6 years to 19 years old (Madeline Zito, Gabrielle Hanson, Joey Zito, Izabelle Hanson, Shawn Hanson, Savannah Tucker, Stella Pietrzyk, Dominic Tucker).
She was affectionately known as “Mema” by her grandchildren.
