Leticia Venzon Domingo, 91, of Bettendorf, formerly a longtime resident of Peoria, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Private family services for Leticia will be held with burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.
Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Leticia was born on June 22, 1933 in the Philippines, a daughter of Vicente and Matilde (Venzon) Domingo. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a B.S. Pharmacy in 1954 and earned her pharmacist certification in the Philippines in December of 1958 and certificate in Medical Technology from the Manila Health Department in 1958. She had been a member of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists since 1952.
Leticia worked for 31 years as a medical technologist at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, retiring in 1998.
Leticia was known for her great work ethic and devotion and love for her family. She enjoyed caring for and watching her nieces and nephews and their children. She was fond of traveling stateside, through Europe, as well as going back home to the Philippines.
She delighted in dancing with her great nieces and was highly regarded for her cooking skills within the family.
Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Those left to honor her memory are her siblings: Dr. Danilo (Alga) Domingo, Bettendorf, Cely (Rodolfo) Agbayani, Philippines, Ofelia (Dr. George) Bello, Bettendorf, Zoilo (Lita) Domingo, Hayward, California, sisters-in-laws: Perlita Domingo, Chicago, Illinois and Zeny Domingo, Norcross, Georgia and many adoring nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Romulo and Cleto Domingo, brother-in-law Dr. George Bello, and sister-in-law Alga Domingo. May they rest in peace.
