Funeral services celebrating the life of Lawrence Michael “Larry” Manley, 58, of Davenport, will be 11am, Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robert Young Center for Opiate Addiction.
Mr. Manley passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, December 25, 2022.
Larry was born March 21, 1964, in Davenport, a son of Donald “Gus” and Gerry (Kerkhoven) Manley. He graduated from Davenport West, Class of 1983 and then went to SCC for welding. He was united in marriage to Tracy Wagner on May 8, 2019, in Davenport.
Larry was a hard worker all his life and worked for Sivyer Steel for over 20 years before starting at Arconic in 2014.
He loved to hunt deer, turkey, and pheasants, trout fishing, riding his Harley, collecting antiques, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He could fix anything and was always ready to lend a hand. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
Survivors include his wife Tracy; son Dalton Manley, Davenport; daughters Shayna (Keith “2pac”) Yerington, Milton, IA, Amanda Helm, Bloomfield, IA; stepchildren Joseph Godfrey, Kyle Godfrey, James Salkil Jr, and Miranda Salkil; eight grandchildren; mother Gerry; brothers Don (Karen) Manley, Paul (Kristi) Manley, John Manley, Greg (Tina) Manley, all of Davenport, Brian Manley, Nashville, TN, Matt (Deb) Manley, Richfield, MN; sisters Karen (Steve) Wolfe, LeClaire, Mary (Dave) Eshelman, Ellen Jackson, all of Bettendorf, Therese Kuriger, Blue Grass; brother-in-law Dennis Clark, Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son Logan, grandson Jaykob, father, sister Jo Anne Clark, brother Bob, brother-in-law Keith Kuriger, and nephew Nate Wolfe.
