Kerry J. O’Toole, 59, a resident of Davenport, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City following a brief illness. There will be a Memorial Gathering to Celebrate his life Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, downtown Davenport. Following his wishes the rite of cremation has been accorded.
Kerry John O’Toole was born July 15, 1958 in Dubuque, Iowa a son of David L. and Marilyn J. (Gard) O’Toole.
After graduating high school he entered the United States Navy and was proud to have served our country.
He was united in marriage to Denise Paustian Smith; they have shared nearly 20-years together.
Kerry has been in the Commercial Roofing and HVAC industry for the majority of his working career. He had worked in sales locally for Johnstone Supply; currently he was working for 33 Carpenters Construction in sales and estimating.
He enjoyed the outdoors and especially enjoyed the days he could ride his Harley. He also cherished time spent with his family and many friends.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Denise; a daughter, Kallie (Jacob) Sachleben, Davenport; step-children, Jay (Megan) Smith, Davenport and Janelle Smith, Des Moines; his mother, Marilyn O’Toole, Unionville, Missouri; and brothers, Kevin (Marcella) O’Toole and Terry O’Toole, and a niece Tara and nephews, Coltan and Trevor.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Brian. May they rest in peace.
