Kerry Morgan, Sr.

Kerry Bernard Morgan, Sr. 52, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully, surrounded loved ones at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, IL.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the family.

Kerry was born on Saturday May 3, 1969 to Sarah K. and Bennie W. Morgan in Iowa City, Iowa.

Kerry received his formal education from the Davenport Community Schools and later attended Scott Community College. He loved spending time with his Father Bennie until his passing in 2005.

Kerry was always the life of the party and a jokester. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing cards.

Kerry gave his life to Christ on September 2, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory include; his mother; children, Dajuan Carrol, Jasmine (Andre) Hearn, Lacherry Hornbeak, Kerry Morgan, Jr., Kerriana Morgan, D'Mario Patterson, and DeMarcus Duckett; grandchildren, Royalty Carrol, Donovan, Andre, Jr. and Parker Hearn, Alexerie, Myster, Treasure, Alex, Jr, Kerry Morgan, III, and Ahkeera Morgan; siblings, Nita Aurthur, Michael Morgan and Will Shorter all of Davenport; nephews, Corey, Antwone, and Keyvan Morgan, all of Davenport; and one niece, Daveshia Morgan of Houston, Texas, and a host of cousins and special friends.

Kerry was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Morgan; sister, Dorothy Morgan; and son, Kerrvontae Miller.
