Kenneth Wilkison II

Funeral Services for Kenneth R. Wilkison II, 67, a resident of Davenport, will be Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11am at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.  Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport.  The family will greet friends Thursday at the funeral home from 5-8pm.  There will be an additional visitation Friday at the funeral home from 10am until the time of the service.  Ken passed away Tuesday, October 02, 2018 at the University of Iowa after a sudden illness, surrounded by his family.

Kenneth Robert Wilkison II was born February 3, 1951 in Davenport, a son of Kenneth R. and Mary Ann (Bolster) Wilkison.  He served his country in the Army National Guard for 10 years.  He was united in marriage to Molly A. March on January 20, 1979 at Sacred Heart Church, Rock Island.  He retired in 2015 after serving 42 years as a bricklayer with the Local 6 BAC.  He also was an apprentice instructor and served on the BAC negotiating committee.  Ken also ran Ken’s Taxidermy for over 35 years out of his home.

Ken was a member of the Blue Grass American Legion and enjoyed bow hunting, and motorcycles, specifically his Ducatis.

Those left to honor Ken’s memory include his wife of 39 years, Molly; son, Josh (Sheli) Wilkison, Las Vegas, NV; mother, Mary Ann Wilkison, Davenport; brother, Stuart Wilkison, LeClaire, sister-in-law, Sally Simmons, Moline; nieces, nephews and their children; Jim (Dari) Wilkison, Natalie & Brook; Lynn (Cody) Flatt, Jack; and Kate (Ryan) Behrens.

He was preceded in death by his father.
