Kenneth Jamel Carrol, Jr.

Kenneth Jamel Carrol, Jr., 24 a resident of Davenport, died Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. The funeral service will be livestreamed and may be viewed by visiting his obituary at www.hmdfuneralhome.com.  Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the family.

Ken was born August 22, 1998 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Kenneth Carrol and Shantia Taylor. He attended Davenport Central High School. Ken worked as a cook at numerous restaurants. He enjoyed cooking, shopping, listening to music, partying, and taking his children swimming. Ken was a big ball of joy and loved life.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother and step-father, Shantia Taylor and Derek Turner, Jr.; father, Kenneth Carrol; children, Kenniyah Ajada Carrol, Maleya Rose Bogan, Kasahd Allen Bogan, and Ozius Cruz-Rivera Blancke; sisters, Sanaa Carrol, Laporsha Weekly, Unique Turner, Ahmarii Turner; and Sade Samuel; brothers, Knowledge Turner, Ma’Ky Carrol, Marcus Carrol, and Kendrell Carrol; aunts, Almario Crawford, Shannan Rhen, Kimberly Carrol, and Angela Carrol; grandmother, Marian Crawford.  He was loved by many including cousins, extended family and friends, too.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma Carrol; and uncle, Uchenna Agina.
