Kathy J. Simmons

Kathy J. Simmons, 66, of Moline, died Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at River Crossing Nursing Home, Moline.  Private graveside services took place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport.  Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the King’s Harvest Pet Rescue.

Kathy Jean Fulscher was born on October 5, 1956 in Moline, a daughter of Donald and Grace (Hillock) Fulscher.

Kathy played volleyball and softball while in high school.  She loved to sing, was a wonderful cook and had a great love of tulips. She’ll be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to honor her memory are her children Stephanie Simmons, Charleston, South Carolina, James “Mike” (Jennifer) Simmons, Grayson, Georgia, Lucas Simmons, Canada; grandchildren: John, Michael, Shelby, Rose, Alexandria, Ethan, and Naomi; great-grandchildren: Kelly, Christian, and Leilani; siblings: Jerry (Pat) Fulscher, Moline, Janice Gilmore, Silvis, Donald Fulscher, Moline, Danny Fulscher, East Moline, and Mary (Kerry) Pisman, Cable, Illinois, brother-in-law, Pat Moody, Colona, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Susie Melton, Beth Holtman-Gannon, Nancy Moody, and Teddy Fulscher; and nephews and niece, Teddy, Ray, and Dana.
