Kathy Cole

Kathy Kay Cole, 64, a resident of Davenport, died Friday, March 27, 2020 at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street in Davenport.

Due to the recent health concerns, private family services will be held. A live stream will be available at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery.

Kathy was born June 9, 1955 in Iowa City, the daughter of Cecil and Marian (Brown) Welsh.

Kathy worked as a CNA for the Kahl Home, Iowa Masonic Nursing Facility, and the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She volunteered at many different food pantries and loved going to the casinos. Kathy enjoyed playing games on her iPad, watching her soap operas, playing bingo, and music. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, and cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband and life-partner, Robert L. Cole, Sr.; children, Stephanie Van Den Berghe, and her fiancé, Michael Haut, Robert Cole, Jr., and Kevin Cole, and his wife, Brandy, all of Davenport; 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shawn; one brother, and one sister.
