Kathleen “Katie” Mary Lee, 88, of Davenport passed away peacefully Thursday, January 25th, 2018 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf surrounded by loving family. Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1923 Fillmore St., Davenport. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Long Grove, IA. Visitation will be from 10am until time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.

Kathleen Blumer was born January 6, 1930, in Davenport, a daughter of Oswald and Cecilia (Micklewright) Blumer. She wed Alan Lee on February 18, 1950. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2016.

As a homemaker, a wife, and a mother of 6, she was strong, capable and tireless, always striving to make things better for her family. She had an unwavering faith in God. In later years, she and Alan spent 25 years boating and living aboard their boat, The Virginia Hawkeye, in Florida and the Bahamas during the winter months.

Survivors include daughters, Vicky (Donald) Sissel, Davenport, Michelle (Gene) Mock, Urbandale, IA, Angie (Jeff) Hutchison, Aurora, CO; sons Jeff (Pat) Lee, Dean Lee, all of Davenport and Brian and (Debbie) Lee of Satellite Beach, FL. Grandchildren Shane Bessenecker, Amber (Brent) Lindle, Brooke and Kate Hutchison; great grandchildren Jayce and Ava Lindle; sister Pat MacBeth – Goetsch (Joe); brother Wayne (Dorothy) Blumer; sisters in law Sharon Blumer, Margaret (Ted) Boone; and brother in law Warren Lee.

In addition to her husband Alan, she was preceded in death by her sisters June and Janet and brothers Alan, Thomas, Dale and Dean.
