Katelynn Baumer

Katelynn Jasmine Baumer, 24, of Lamont, Iowa, formerly of Maysville, Iowa, passed away, Friday, January 19, 2024 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, January 26, 2024 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with visitation being held from 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Katelynn was born on October 16, 1999, the daughter of Jeremy Baumer and Sheri Turner.

Katelynn was a free spirit and beat to her own drum.  She was always willing to try new things and when she did she gave it her all.  She was recently learning how to ride a motorcycle and play lacrosse. She loved animals, playing video games, and collecting Funko pops.  She found joy in going to the YMCA to swim and play basketball.  Katelynn loved her family, especially her brother and nephew and cherished the time she was able to spend with them.  

Those left to honor her memory include her father and bonus mom, Jeremy (Jami) Baumer of Davenport; siblings: Daxton Moore, Dillynn Moore, Dallis Moore, all of Davenport; grandpa, Bruce Baumer of Maysville; uncle, Steve (Kathleen) Baumer of Onslow, Iowa; aunt Janelle Hester; nephew Jackson Estes; niece Jayla; cousin: Theodore Baumer; great-grandma, Margaret Boone of Davenport; mother, Sheri Turner of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and half-brothers, Nathan Rivera and Jamie Walsh. 

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Baumer; great-grandfather, Ted Boone; and brother Jeremy Baumer, Jr.
