Kasey Oaks

February 15, 1961 — September 29, 2021

Kasey W. Oaks, 60, a resident of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his home after a four year battle with cancer with his family and friends by his side.

A celebration of life will be from 1:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at The Elks Lodge, 440 Central Park Avenue, Davenport.   Kasey will be buried next to his father and brother in a private ceremony at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family.

Kasey was born February 15, 1961 in Davenport, the son of Wade M. and Barbara (Smith) Oaks. Growing up Kasey enjoyed racing ATV’s and motorcross with his friends.  He was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Q.C. Bass Club for many years.  They fished up and down the Mississippi River.  A place he truly loved to be.  He also loved having people over to watch racing, Cubs, Chiefs, Hawks or anything to give a reason for his friends to come over, including a cool dip in the pool.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Barbara Oaks; sisters, Kristi Oaks and Kelly (Phil) Garcia; daughter Mackenzie; grandson Max; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wade Oaks in 1985, and his brother, Kim in 1999.
