Karen Sue Mussmann

Karen Sue Mussmann, 73, of Davenport, passed away, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Burial will be in The National Cemetery, Rock Island, Arsenal.

Karen was born on May 23, 1948 in Rock Island, Illinois, daughter of Ed and Shirley (Bockhouse) Schriner. She was united in marriage to LeRoy F. Mussmann at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa on July 14, 1979. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2014.

Karen enjoyed movies, especially the Hallmark Channel and cooking shows. She was a registered nurse and had worked in health care in Labor & Delivery and NICU for over 20+ years. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motorhome to Colorado and Missouri to visit family, fishing and playing cards. Above all else, she enjoyed her family and the time she spent with them.

Those left to honor her memory include children, Ronald Coons, Wayne (Andrea) Mussmann, and Bradley (Melissa) Mussmann; grandchildren, Francis (Tanner Olson), Gage Mussmann, and Falyn Mussmann; great grandchild Ryker Lee Olson; stepchildren, JoAnn (Steve) Garlough, Sandra (Dannie) Howard, Steven (Linda) Mussmann, and Michael (Vanessa) Mussmann; and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
