Judith M. Waters

Judith M. “Judy” Waters, 88, a resident of Davenport, died Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in Davenport.

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 417 N. Main Street, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 9 until 10 a.m. in the gathering space at church. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Judith Mary Doyle was born on March 29, 1936 in Davenport, a daughter of Darrell and Esther (Connelly) Doyle. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1954. She was united in marriage to Gerald R. Waters on June 18, 1955 at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband of 69 years, Jerry, Davenport; children and their spouses: Stephen (Susan) Waters, Ankeny, Iowa, Stan (Ann) Waters, Shawnee, Kansas, Paul (Mary Anne) Waters, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Laura (Bill) Wohlforth, North Carolina, John (Norma) Waters, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Catherine (Mike) Anderson, Glen Carbon, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald, Patrick, and Edward Doyle. May they rest in peace.
