Joyce I. Ford

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Joyce Irene Ford, 80, of Davenport, will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will be held Monday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow services.  Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.  Joyce died Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.

Joyce Irene Hahn was born on September 19, 1943 in Davenport, a daughter of Archie and Leora (Rhodes) Hahn.  She was united in marriage to Harold Petty and later married Sergei Ford on October 4, 1975.  He preceded her in death June 16, 1994.

Joyce had worked at the Col Ballroom and later in environmental services at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

Joyce’s life was centered around her family.  She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Patricia (Jimmy) Posten, Tonya Petty, and David Ford, all of Davenport; grandchildren: Jason (Kelsey) Posten, Adrianna (Steven) Wilson, Erik Ford, Santana Kelley, Montrece Petty, and Dylan Ford; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Dean, Abigail, Colt, and one on the way; brothers: Richard (Judy) Hahn, Davenport, Robert Hahn, Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Sergei, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Beverly Sumpter. May they rest in peace.
