Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph “Joe” Peisch, Davenport, will be at 10 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, downtown Davenport.
His family will greet friends on Monday, June 27, 2022, from 4 to 7 PM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport and a rosary service will be at 3:30 PM. There will be additional visitation at church prior to mass from 9 to 10 AM. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Joe passed away peacefully June 4, 2022, at home. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be made to the St. Anthony’s McAnthony Window, St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or the Humane Society of Scott County.
Joe was born June 1, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa. Son of Gerard S. and Neoma R. (Mueller) Peisch. He was united in marriage to Patricia (Pat) Otten in 1958 at Holy Family Catholic Church and they shared 54 years together. Joe graduated from St. Ambrose Academy in 1955, Davenport. He served eight years in the US Naval Reserves and became a board-certified dental technician for the family business.
He also served on the Board of Directors and as President for the Illinois Dental Laboratory Association and the Lake Odessa Cabin Owners Association. Joe was an active member of St. Anthony’s in Davenport and found a great source of comfort in his faith. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and loved traveling, the outdoors, camping, fishing, photography, DIY projects and just fixing things.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Doug and Lynn; his grandson, Carver; his sister-in-law Sandy; many nieces and nephews; and all his great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, may they rest in peace.
