Joseph Jay MacBeth, age 63, of Bettendorf, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his home. The family will greet friends and family from 10:00am until service time. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family or a charity of your choice.
Joe was born on March 31, 1960, in Davenport, to Jerry and Patricia (Blumer) MacBeth. Joe graduated from Bettendorf H.S. in 1979, married Tammy Townsend in 1983 and together they had three children. In 1995, he married Robyn Hyman, and they had two children.
Joe moved to Atlanta in 1987 where he founded Industrial Cohesion Systems and ran the company for over 20 years before returning to the Quad Cities in 2014.
Joe was an avid sports enthusiast and cheered for the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, and Iowa Hawkeyes, but he was always a Bettendorf Bulldog at heart. He enjoyed playing euchre with his friends especially his stepfather, Joe Goetsch. He loved being a family man and living his spirituality.
He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Dean MacBeth in 2001. Survivors include his mother Patricia MacBeth-Goetsch (Joe Goetsch); children; Ashley MacBeth-Howe (H.K. Howe), Tabatha MacBeth-Madaris (Matt Madaris), J.J. MacBeth (Brittany MacBeth), Autum Taylor MacBeth, and Clay MacBeth; 6 grandchildren; and siblings, Kathleen MacBeth, Molly MacBeth-Elliott (Steve Elliott), Margee MacBeth-Winkler (Ron Winkler), and Ted MacBeth (Margaret MacBeth).
In addition to his father, Joe was preceded in death by a grandchild, Cole Howe.
