Joel Serrano

Joel Serrano, Sr., 71, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at MercyOne-Davenport.

 Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. 

 Joel was born on June 22, 1953 in Iowa, son of Victor and Clemencia (Zuniga) Serrano, Sr.

Joel was a Chiago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan. He was always making people laugh. In his free time, he did maintenance jobs on the side or for his children. He enjoyed movies and would take his children every Sunday and later his grandchildren to see the latest film. Above all he loved his grandchildren and would do anything for them. He will be deeply missed. 

Those left to honor his memory include his children Joel (Lindsay) Serrano, Jr., E’lin (Melinda) Serrano and Treia (Niki) Gimm; grandchildren Maya, Olivia, Xander, Kyson, Isaiah and Brayden; and siblings Jerry, Nick, Victor Jr. and Saul. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Gloria and Clement and an infant brother Manuel.
