Joan Scammon

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Joan E. Scammon, 86, of Davenport, will be today, Thursday March 1, 2018 at11:00 a.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., downtown, Davenport. Visitation will be prior to services at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Joan passed away February 27, 2018

Joan Elizabeth Wilcox, was born February 26, 1932 in Moline, IL to Louis A and Seera A. (Larson) Wilcox. She was united in marriage to Arland (Scotty) Scammon in 1953. He preceded her in death. She was formerly employed at Jefferson Grade School and Iowa-Illinois Electric Company.

Survivors include her daughter in law Kim (Scammon) (David) Oblinger of Illinois; sisters; Carolyn Kokity, Alice Wilcox and Shirley Buchanan; Special companion, Fred Grubel and a sister in law, Jean Scammon; as well as numerous loving nieces nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband and son Sedg Scammon.
