Jesse C. Breon

Jesse C. Breon, 96, of Davenport formerly of Ottumwa, died Friday, February 3, 2023 at Promedica Skilled Nursing Facility in Davenport.

Services will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Lawn in Ottumwa. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family.

Jesse was born June 10, 1926 in Ottumwa, the son of John and Myrtle (Poncy) Breon. He married Clementine Thompson, December 8, 1943 in Lancaster, Missouri. She preceded him in death July 20, 2010.

Jesse was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II.  He owned and operated Breon Painting and Decorating in Ottumwa. He was a hard worker all his life. Jesse enjoyed going to casinos.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Connie (Robert) Riley of Davenport; grandchildren, Benjamin Lundeen and Kristie (Cory) Blevins; and great-grandchildren, Adison, Blake, and Kinleigh.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Breon; grandson, Anthony Breon; six brothers and three sisters.
