Jerry Weipert

Jerry Lee Weipert, 61, of Davenport, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at his home following an extended illness.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 11am on Tuesday August 2, 2022, at the Fairmount Cemetery Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10am until time of service at the chapel. Burial will be held privately at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Jerry was born May 23, 1961, in Davenport, a son of John “Jack” and Amanda (Stradt) Weipert. He was united in marriage to Rebecca “Becky” Park in 1988.

He loved working on cars and had been a mechanic at the family business, Jack’s Brake and Alignment.

He cherished his family, and his grandchildren were his heart and soul. He enjoyed going to car shows, riding his Harley, and more recently helping his wife Becky tend her flower garden.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Becky; children Sara (Nick) Plotner of Hampton, Illinois, Lance Weipert of Davenport, Tiffany Park of Davenport; grandchildren Marisa Miller, Owen Plotner, Remington Weipert, Arianna Park, Tucker Eastin, Benson Eastin; great grandson Armoni; siblings Sherie Weipert, Terry (Cheryl) Weipert, Gary Weipert, Larry (Jenni) Weipert, all of Davenport, Mike (Betty) Hugunin, and Sharon Inskeep, all of West Des Moines; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and many great friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Larry, Jenni, Grant, Chad, Levi, and John for all their help during Jerry’s illness.

He was preceded in death by his father Jack in 1983, twin infants in 1991, and mother Amanda in 2006. May they rest in peace.
