Jeffrey Bennett

Jeffrey E. Bennett, 59, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Manor Care, Davenport.  Per his request the rite of cremation was accorded and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date at his favorite fishing spot.

Jeffrey Eugene Bennett was born April 5, 1962, in Davenport, a son of James “Jim” and Joanne (Gray) Bennett.

He had worked as a flooring installer alongside his father at the former Carpets to Go in Davenport.

Jeffrey lived life in his own unconventional way.  He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and planting flowers.  He also liked to build things and woodworking.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents Jim Bennett and Joanne Bennett; sister Nancy Reed; brother Bret Bennett all of Davenport; nieces and nephews Adam Reed, Kayla (Jeff) Wiese, Ryne Bennett, Hailey (Zach) Elias, and Jacob Bennett; great nieces and nephews Cora, Devan, Travis, Kylar, Lawson, Rowan, Lila and Adler; and his feline companion “Archie”.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harrison and Frances Bennett and Bob and Marcella Gray.

Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home of Davenport assisted the family.
