Jeanne A. McNabb

Davenport - Jeanne (Weepie) McNabb, 91, of Davenport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport.

Jeanne was born on October 21, 1933, in Waterloo, Iowa, a daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Wendling) Weepie. She moved with her family to Davenport, Iowa in 1961. She retired from MercyOne-Genesis West in 1998. She loved to sing with her children in their youth. With her husband Frank, she enjoyed our local casinos, trips to Las Vegas, and fishing with her family. Jeanne also enjoyed collecting dolls and shells and would bake for anyone/everyone to show her appreciation.

Jeanne is lovingly remembered by her family, including her brother Clarence Weepie, Jr.; her sister Janet (Weepie) Reiger; her daughter Rose (McNabb) Brooks; and her son Rick McNabb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Frank” French, her son Michael McNabb, a daughter-in-law, Tova McNabb, her parents, and a sister, Josephine Russell. Jeanne’s legacy lives on through her six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A service to honor Jeanne’s life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 N. Main Street, Davenport, Iowa with family greeting friends from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Graveside services will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum 3912 West 4th Street Waterloo, Iowa.
