Javier Gonzalez

Javier Sanchez Gonzalez aka ("Shorty/ or Short Dawwg") Age 50, entered into eternal rest Monday November 22nd 2021.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with a service at 10:30 a.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Keeping with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

Javier was born May 9th 1971, in Des Moines Iowa. He was the son of Armando Gonzalez ("Speedy Gonzalez from K.A.L.A Radio") and Hilda Sanchez-Guzman.

Javier grew up in Davenport Iowa with his siblings Armando Jr, Maricela, Reyes (Fernando), and Rogelio (Roy) Gonzalez.

In his early years Javier took part in wrestling and basketball in high school. He also loved to DJ at functions and boxed for Pena's Boxing Club.

Javier was a jack of all trades whether he was working construction, roofing, or mechanical work on cars he could do various jobs flawlessly.

He had a passion for cooking for others, fishing, sewing, & going to church. Most of all he enjoyed spending time and joking with close family and friends.

Those left to cherish his remembrance are his children: Steven & wife Erika Garcia, Maraya Gonzalez, Jayla Mayes, Kelsey Sammon, Tavian & wife Kayla Ramirez, Julian, Gisela, Javier Jr. And Natalia Gonzalez. As well as 10 grandchildren.

Javier was preceded in death by his father Armando and brother Rogelio Gonzalez.
