Janice "Jann" Zoeckler

Funeral services celebrating the life of Janice “Jann” Zoeckler, 69, of Davenport will be held Saturday, November 20, at 2:30 p.m. at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services on Saturday. Private family burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston, MA.

Mrs. Zoeckler passed away unexpectedly at home, November 17, 2021. Jann was born December 21, 1951 in Davenport, daughter of Miguel and Petra (Ortiz-Tafolla) Lopez. She graduated from Central High School in Davenport in 1970. She was united in marriage to Brad Zoeckler in 1971.

Jann loved her family very much and while she loved being a stay-at-home mom all those years to her three children, her greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, seeing photos or videos of them, and getting texts or FaceTime sessions just to check-in.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Brad; children and their spouses, Sunny and Patrick Herguth of Sudbury, Massachusetts, Jared and Kim Zoeckler of Davenport, and Zeke (Emily Gayman) Zoeckler of Buffalo.  Additionally, grandchildren, Aidan and Logan Herguth, Ethan, Isabella and Jared, Jr. Zoeckler, and Zaiden Zoeckler; step-father, Miguel Lopez; sisters, Diana (Mike) Guy of Colorado, Brenda Miller, and Susan Tafolla Herman, both of Blue Grass; nieces and nephews, Tarra and Matthew Guy, Christian (Mia) and Joshua (Cassie) Keehn, Tyler (Amanda) Brummel, Tia (Sean) Fersch and Brett Herman; great nieces and nephew, Dylan Keehn, Harper and Avyn Brummel and Keira and Lanie Fersch.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Petra Rose Lopez, her sister Patricia Ann (Tafolla) Howard and her brother-in-law William C. Miller.
