James "Ray" Guyton

James “Ray” Guyton, 54, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at his home.

Per his wishes cremation rights have been accorded.

Ray was born on October 3, 1969 in Ausitn, Texas a son of James Demps and Shirey Guyton.  He was united in marriage to Monique Dillenburg on August 20, 2022.

Ray worked at Kraft before he became ill.  He enjoyed fishing, sports, especially football, Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals and watching movies.  Above all he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Monique; children Aaron McGinnis, Jakea Anderson, Chad Woodworth; siblings Mattie Deary, Taylor, Texas, Jimmy (Chardonnay) Deary, Kileen, Texas, and Monica (Sam) Evans, Davenport, Iowa; life brothers Kevin, Vick, RaySean, and Eddie; brother’s-in-law Sterve, Todd, Brent, Brian and Joel Hilgen; mother-in-law Ruthie Toma; special friend Arthur Abbey; nieces and nephews; and his dog Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rayini Anderson, his sister Brenda Guyton and niece Cavettea Jackson.
