James Morris

James E. Morris, 79, of Davenport, died Saturday, April 18, 2020 at ManorCare, East Locust Street, Davenport. There will be no services at this time. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

James E. Morris was born on January 31, 1941 in Iowa, a son of Eugene and Margaret (Workman) Morris. He retired from Cribbs Landscaping.

Jim enjoyed fishing, reading books about history and war, and playing cards. He also enjoyed completing the cryptoquote in the daily newspaper.

Survivors include her children: Linda (Roger) Golden, Oregon, Nancy (James Brooks) Swanger, and Neil Morris, all of Davenport; grandchildren: Kala Terry, Damionn Terry, Jr., and Kathy Roland; and a brother, Joe Morris.
