James Lent

James Arthur Lent, 83, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at The Vista’s, Bettendorf. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the River Bend Food Bank.

James was born on October 23, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Howard and Almeda (Busch) Lent.

James was a tournament bass fisherman along the Mississippi and the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed hunting and watching the Green Bay Packers. He was also an Iowa Hawkeye fan. Above all he loved his family and will be deeply missed.

Those left to honor his memory include his children Russell (Carrie) Lent and Linda (Nick) Wilson; grandchildren Korben Wilson, Cresa Wilson, Karly (Evan) Nietzel, Katie Lent and Kelley Lent; and siblings Don Lent, Mary Hartman and Joe (Kathy) Lent. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bobby Lent.
