James Edwards III

James H. Edwards III, age 74, of Bettendorf, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at his home. According to his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family.

   James was born on January 7, 1949 in Greenville, SC, to James and Ruth Evelyn (Heaton) Edwards Jr. He graduated from Edmunds High School in Sumter, SC, and attended Gordon Military College. He was united in marriage to Jennifer Crain on January 14, 1993, in North Augusta, SC. James worked as a project manager in the power division for the Bechtel Company for over 25 years.

   Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; children, Amy Reynolds of Cummings, GA, Olivia Edwards of North Liberty, IA, Christopher Edwards of Bettendorf, IA, and Lisa Boggs of Grovetown, GA; grandchildren, Michael, Kayleigh, Abby, Blakely, and Grayson; and a sister, Geannie Epting of Sumter, SC.
