Isaiah A. Petersen

Funeral services celebrating the life of Isaiah A. Petersen, 22, of Davenport, will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.  The funeral will be livestreamed and may be accessed by a link that will appear shortly before services.  Burial will follow in Davenport Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 4-7pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Ducks Unlimited or Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Mr. Petersen passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, in Moline from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Isaiah Anthony Petersen was born July 6, 2000 in Davenport, the son of Carrie (Aaron) Maylum and Adam (Chelsie) Herbst.  He graduated from Davenport Central in 2018 and then completed his electrical apprenticeship through Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Iowa. 

 Isaiah was currently working alongside his father at River Cities Engineering.

He loved duck hunting, fishing, gaming with his brothers and listening to music.  He was a gearhead and enjoyed car racing, mud bogging, riding his motorcycle, and was the Crew Chief for 21F.  He was the life of the party, and his smile could light up a room.

Surviving are his mother Carrie (Aaron) Maylum of Davenport; father Adam (Chelsie) Herbst of Davenport; siblings Brechler Herbst of Davenport, Noah (Taylor) Shrader and their children Norah and Klay of Moline, Emmaly Maylum of Davenport, Keegan Maylum of Davenport; grandparents Gary Herbst of Moline, Kris Magiera, Ginger Herbst of Davenport, Jim (Cosette) Shrader of Bettendorf, Mike (Mickey) Krach of Venice, FL, Pam (Rex) Petersen of Davenport, Mark Maylum of Missouri; girlfriend Haley Brown of Iowa City; and a host of loving extended family members.
