Harley T. Ward

Harley T. Ward, 95, of Eldridge, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.  Keeping with Harley’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no public ceremonies.  Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Harley was born on April 14, 1928 in Washington, Iowa, a son of Grover C. and Martha (Campbell) Ward.  He proudly served our country in the Marine Corps and the Coast Guard.  Harley married Blondena L. Cowell on December 4, 1954.  She preceded him in death on July 30, 2008.

Harley worked for ALCOA for many years. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Wanda Ward, Eldridge; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his children: Ted Ward and Pamela Campbell.  May they rest in peace.
