Funeral services celebrating the life of Geraldine “Gerry” Granger, 88, of Davenport, will be 10am Monday, July 17, 2023, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. Granger passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Silvercrest Garner Senior Living, Davenport.
Geraldine Marjorie Crow was born January 13, 1935, in Iowa City, a daughter of Albert Weldon and Eleanor Gladys (Vanatta) Crow. She was united in marriage to Harold Granger Jr on March 20, 1954. They made their home in Coyne Center, Sherrard and Milan, IL. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2009.
Gerry was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for Sherrard High School. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling, playing cards (especially Rummikub, Euchre and Five Crowns) and beautiful flowers.
Those left to honor her memory include her children Joyce Sellers, Geneseo; Jim (Kathleen) Granger, Rock Island; Carol (Paul) Lammers, Racine, WI; John (Terri) Granger, Davenport; Cathleen (Jon) Webber, Lenexa, KS; son-in-law Dean Teeselink, Montezuma, IA; fifteen grandchildren: Eric Sellers, Karen (Tyler) Patterson, Elizabeth (Ryan) Gartman, Katie Granger, Lisa (Jameson) Roose, Matt (Catherine) Teeselink, Christine (Jace) Dower, Cari (Tim) Willson, Erin (Eric) Schnauber, Katie (Jon) Hamilton, Malerie, Alex, McKenna and Blake (Sierra) Webber, and Meredith (Matt) Robertson; and twenty-two great grandchildren: Grace, Walker, Natalie, Erin, Alice, Anna, Clara, Levi, Emily, Micah, Jude, Peyton, Charlotte, Macyn, Emily, Chelsea, Zander, Harper, Miles, Marin, Macyn and Rayna.
In addition to her husband, Gerry was preceded in death by her daughter Joann Teeselink, sister Betty Reed and brother Merle Crow.
