Gary Flynn

Memorial visitation for Gary J. Flynn, 77, of Davenport, will be 4-6pm Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport. Per his wish the rite of cremation has been accorded and burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Flynn passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at Genesis Medical Center West Central Park, Davenport.

Gary James Flynn was born July 20, 1940 in Davenport, a son of James and LeEtta (Thompson) Flynn.

He drove and made deliveries for Flynn Beverage for many years and following his retirement he owned his own business.

In his spare time he enjoyed working in and around his home and yard, gardening, and cooking.

Survivors include his children Cari (Gilbert) Flynn-McCormick, Tony Flynn, all of Davenport, and Patrick (Cindy Smith) Flynn, Silvis; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; siblings Richard Flynn, Fonda (Richard) Timmerman, and Judy Franco, all of Davenport. His son Brett and parents preceded him in death
